I've done a lot of cartoons spanning over 20 twenty years . This particular cartoon is by far the most popular to date. Most agreed with the cartoon while others felt It was wrong to uplift  Lupita while showing disdain for Nikki Minaj. The thing I find most disheartening is that none of the critics cared to reach out to the creator of the toon , me . Why not ask the messenger , right? I wonder if those same critics would be so vocal  if Nikki Minaj didn't have the fame , popularity and wealth behind her.
The cartoon was not a direct attack on Niki but an attack on the negative imaging and stereotypes  she and others like her chose to profit off  of. Regardless of whether they accept it or not , rappers and others entertainers are role models. , period. Think about  it ...does the mainstream media really want us to know the truth? Many of our DJs , Fanpages, etc,
in the media are merely more than  puppets. Be warned , family. If your favorite media person , facebook fanpage , or instagram  doesn't feel that they must be proactive in voicing the obvious  down slide of positive media , you might want to reconsider what and whom you support. After all it takes a
village to raise a child , right?

  1. I feel some people took it wrong and never wanted to know where you was coming from with the strip. Some people feel their own inner struggles with themselves and the images. The strip was not shallow and had multiple layers. Some praise you for it and some criticized you for putting Lupita so high and having Nikki near the trash can. I love the message in the strip. Our society needs to reevaluate our stance on the media personalities. I just wish the young lady that recently took her life would have understood the value that Lupita shares with us all before she gave up.
